Beowulf Cluster
A supercomputer built to run parallel CFD software

This is a Beowulf cluster made of 4 AMD Sempron 3000+ nodes powered by Mandrake Linux 10.1. Nodes are interconnected by 1000Mbit Ethernet TCP/IP network.

The objective of this facility is to do test CFD simulations of turbulent flows and combustion in parallel environment using LES approach and the Horsepower Lab 3D package. MPICH 1.2.5.1 is used as MPI implementation for this system.
